Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in the building under any circumstance. If you smoke, you must smoke in the guest designated smoking areas. You are not permitted to leave a class, lecture or group therapy session that is in progress in order to smoke.
Valuables
For your protection and ours, we ask that you not bring large sums of money, expensive jewelry or other valuable articles. We will not assume responsibility for the loss of valuables left in your room. If you bring such items with you, please check them in at time of admission to be kept in the safe.
Visitation
Visitation is allowed and encouraged as long as the presence of each visitor does not interfere in any way with a guest's treatment. Remember you are responsible for your visitor's conduct. Please clean up after them and make sure that they observe the visitor guidelines. Visitation is a privilege, which, if abused, may be revoked.
Visiting Hours are: Thursday, 6:00-8:00 PM and Sunday, 1:00-4:00 PM
Guests must be in treatment at least seven days before they are permitted visitors.
Guests and visitors are not permitted to visit outside prior to the scheduled start of visitation.
All visitors must enter through the main entrance and register with the receptionist.
Parcels and clothing brought by visitors are to be checked in with the receptionist who will tag them with the guest's name and take them to the infirmary.
Guests may entertain in designated areas only.
No visitors allowed in guest's rooms at anytime.
Visitors may not be in possession of/or under the influence of alcohol or drugs while on the premises. The staff reserves the right to ask persons suspected of being under the influence or in the possession of drugs and/or alcohol to leave the premises.
Guide for Packing
The most important objective for you during your stay at Fellowship Hall is to concentrate on your recovery program. We wish for you to be comfortable and at ease while you are here. Bring casual clothing. Because North Carolina experiences all four seasons, remember to pack appropriately. We ask that you leave all tank tops, biking shorts, swim suits at home.
Things to Remember
Sleep apparel, robe and slippers.
Week supply of lingerie/underwear.
Clothing for both indoor and outdoor recreational activities.
Week supply of comfortable clothes (shorts must be knee length/not tight). No bare midriff, sleeveless or cutoff shirts allowed. No clothing with alcohol and/or drug reference allowed.
Clothing suitable for visiting days.
Comfortable shoes
Shaving equipment, toiletries, cosmetics, etc.
Outerwear (jacket, sweater)
Rain gear
Miscellaneous
Mail is posted and delivered daily except Sunday.
Pharmacy orders may be placed for necessities.
Coin free laundry facilities (including detergent) are provided, and dry cleaning is picked up weekly.
Linens and towels are provided.
Please leave televisions, radios, cell phones, laptops, and pagers at home. Televisions are available in the lounge areas.
Stationery is needed for letter writing. Stamps are sold here.
Cigarettes are needed, if you smoke.
After the first week in treatment, trips to the barbershop or beauty shop are arranged, if desired, when it does not interfere with classes. No color, perms or nails can be done.
Soft drinks, tea, coffee, milk and juices are always available here.
Limited snacks may be brought from home. No open food containers in rooms.
