The Fellowship Hall Development Office is dedicated to providing the resources necessary for the advancement of the mission of Fellowship Hall to help people who suffer from alcoholism and drug addiction. It is a priority of the Development Office to nurture life long, mutually beneficial relationships with our friends, former guests, corporations, foundations, other professionals, Board of Directors and staff. We are committed, on a daily basis, to strengthening our partnerships throughout the Fellowship Hall community through collaboration and communication.
Fellowship Hall relies on the generosity of our benefactors for its annual support and wishes to thank each of them for donations. These gifts help to change the lives of individuals and families suffering from the disease of addiction.
In the late 1990's Fellowship Hall approved the Board of Directors campaign to raise money for the improvement of the Meditation Trail. This effort, the first of its kind at the Hall, exceeded $150,000 in donations. Because of the success of the campaign, the Board and President Battles took under consideration the idea of establishing a Development Office under the guidance of a full time director.
Development efforts at Fellowship Hall have proven to be very successful. Under the guidance of the Board and President, the Development Office at Fellowship Hall has:
Completed a capital campaign which funded 12 additional beds and increased classroom/meeting space.
Established The E. Raymond Alexander, Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament as an annual event with proceeds benefiting the Fellowship Hall Financial Assistance Fund.
Initiated an annual fund which exceeded $50,000 in gifts in 2008-09.
Expanded public awareness and fostered community relationships.
Further developed professional relationships.
Published a regular feature in The Gateway.
Begun working to establish a program of "Gift Planning" for Fellowship Hall and began identifying current Planned Giving donors.
