Evidence-Based Alcohol and Drug Addiction Treatment in Greensboro, NC

The Road to Recovery is Unique

Fellowship Hall recognizes that the road to recovery is unique for everyone. We treat those who are suffering from alcohol and drug addiction through a continuum of care that meets you where you are in the progression of the disease. We treat substance use disorders through abstinence-based treatment programs built on the Twelve Step philosophy of recovery. We believe the best outcomes occur when mind or mood-altering substances are not used.

Evidence shows that the longer you stay engaged in the treatment process, the better your chances are for a successful recovery. We offer a full complement of services including detox, residential treatment, outpatient services, and early recovery groups.  We provide individualized referrals to continue care and support once you leave Fellowship Hall. We believe that ongoing recovery is what you deserve and should expect.

“Treatment at Fellowship Hall led me to recovery – and my drug and alcohol recovery has given me a chance to figure out who I am and who I want to be. Recovery gives me hope and the ability to be a good friend, a good sister, to go back to school, to be an employee again – all things I never thought possible.” — Former guest

Common Substances of Use

There are many substances of addiction, each with their own unique effects and treatments. Understanding the effects and signs of drug addiction is the key to identifying destructive behavior and directing you toward appropriate treatment. Each year, new drugs become available, and as such, the list below is not comprehensive.

Our most commonly treated substances of use are:

  • Alcohol
  • Opiate Painkillers
  • Cocaine
  • Heroin
  • Crystal Meth
  • Marijuana

Co-Occurring Disorders

At Fellowship Hall our staff is trained in the diagnosis and treatment of co-occurring disorders. A co-occurring disorder is a separate mental health disorder that exists in addition to the substance use disorder. Co-occurring disorders fall into a wide range of categories with the most common being depression, bipolar disorder, and panic disorder. We also have counselors with specific training to address trauma related disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and disorders rooted in child and young adulthood such as attention deficit disorder and personality disorders.

Treatment of co-occurring disorders includes both individual and group therapy, and when necessary, the use of medications as prescribed by our full-time board certified Addiction Medicine physician. We believe that the key to a full recovery lies in addressing the disease of addiction as the primary issue, while simultaneously treating any co-occurring mental health issues. By doing this, you can maximize your overall health and well-being which allows you to fully embrace your new life of recovery.

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

We utilize Medication Assisted Treatment for opiate detox as well as the use of anti-craving medication. MAT is highly individualized based on your specific needs and is in line with current research and best practices.
