IOP/OUTPATIENT SA COUNSELOR

 

Fellowship Hall is currently seeking a full time IOP/Outpatient Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team and work with our Outpatient Program as well as our Primary Treatment program.  Position schedule will be full-time (40 hours), 10 hours per day Monday-Thursday.

The IOP/Outpatient Substance Abuse Counselor will be responsible for:

  • Individual, Family, Couples, and Group Counseling
  • Developing comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, and referral coordination
  • Documenting treatment progress, orientation, discharge, and related records
  • Knowledge of substance abuse treatment strategies and understanding of twelve step recovery model
  • Managing a number of priorities simultaneously
  • Presenting Didactic Materials

 

Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field

Licensure/Certification: Required full licensure as LCSW or LPC; Prefer dual licensure as LCSW or LPC and LCAS

Minimum Experience: Two (2) years’ experience as a substance abuse counselor

Preferred Experience: : Experience in substance abuse counseling; knowledge of family dynamics; experience treating co-occurring disorders and an understanding of DSM-V diagnoses; EMDR training; computer proficiency
